Olive Branch Eyecare, PLLC was started
by Dr. David L. Parker in October of 1995 shortly after Dr. Parker’s graduation
from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
The office was originally located in the Kroger Shopping Center right next door
to Kroger.
The original staff included Dr. Parker and Wanda Walker Campbell. Wanda still
serves as the office manager thirteen years after the start of the office.
Our first patients may recall that Dr. Parker’s wife Ashleigh and first child
Allie Rose were often seen in the office as well.
Early on we started a practice of including students in the practice. This began
by having some students work in the office over summer breaks and continues now
to the practice of serving as a popular externship for the Southern College of
Optometry.
Dr. Sean Aldinger worked at the office in this capacity and then joined the
practice in 2001 as a full-time doctor.
The space limits of the original location were soon not enough and so plans for
the current office were started.
On Labor Day weekend of 2003, we moved into our new Eyecare building across from
the Kroger center at 6947 Crumpler Blvd.
In early 2004, Southern Eye Associates and Dr. Cathleen Schanzer opened the
Eyecare Surgery Center in the Eyecare Building to provide both cataract and
LASIK surgery in Olive Branch.
The surgery center boasts two operating rooms and one laser treatment room. In
late 2007, we opened our second floor of care in the building after Dr. Nicole
Monroe joined the practice.
We now have eight examination rooms on two floors along with a large optical
dispensary with the latest eyeglass frames and contact lenses.
We have truly been blessed with our success over the years and plan to continue
to grow the practice to fit the needs of our wonderful patient base. |
